Pregnant? We can help … call or text 888-300-5683

If you are pregnant, and you have concerns about your pregnancy, you don’t have to navigate your options alone. Adoption Partners has access to a wealth of resources to support you in your decisions around an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. This can be an overwhelming, scary time for any woman – whether she feels ready to parent or not. Concern about your desire or ability to parent has nothing to do with whether you are a ‘good’ or ‘strong’ person. It has everything to do with being a normal person needing support in the face of a life changing event.
If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, you may not feel ready to parent. This moment in time is incredibly powerful – it will always be one that carries weight in your life story. But we can help you find the path that feels best for you, and the one that makes space for you to chart the course YOU design. We’re here to partner with you the whole way. Our counselor can help you explore and understand your options, including: types of adoption plans, parenting, and terminating a pregnancy.
An expectant woman should never feel pressure from a social worker or agency to choose adoption. Pregnant women may experience pressure to make different choices from their family, friends, and/or the father of their child. A social worker may be able to help you navigate those issues and identify what is going to work the best for you. Talking to someone about adoption does not mean you are choosing adoption, and a good social worker will put you in charge of the process. You can also learn more about adoption here.
Our staff has more than 30 years of combined experience in adoption services, with specialization in birth parent counseling and women’s issues. Our birth parent counselor is a leader in Maine’s adoption community, and our staff social worker is committed to trauma informed care for women. We are a judgement free agency prepared to help birth mothers with issues of substance abuse and/or trauma history. Our services are always free to birth parents, and entirely confidential. If you need help navigating your choices, or would like to consider adoption for your child, you can call us any time of day at 844-300-LOVE (5683) or email support@adoptionpartnersofmaine.org.
